Thoughts after the fair about the offers on tourism

Enchanting melodies, attractive aromas, mesmerizing atmosphere, carefully designed decorations, beautiful sights of food and drinks, there is no doubt that everyone instantly felt wonderful last weekend on the 40th Touristic Fair in Belgrade.

The organizers planned everything carefully. At the entrance, visitors stepped into the wine section, where, apart from the alcoholic drink on offer, they could have a taste of cheese, ham, apple, bread or some delicious roasted meat. From there on, people got greeted by the souvenir section, there were quite a few things there to see too, and from there on, visitors stumbled upon the section of touristic interior design, which was a shock for the senses with the ultramodern and cozy-comfy furniture, interesting environmental planning and all the other things necessary for a great hotel or touristic center. When all this got cleared, one arrived in the halls of touristic travel offers, where there was an abundance on display.

Relaxation is waiting for you! – under this name were 55 countries present with 1200 exhibitors, charming tourists with ideas and offers for this summer. Greece, as a partner country, has really outdone itself. Rich and user friendly leaflets carefully translated to Serbian were on offer, one destination better and cheaper than the other, one could hardly settle for just one. There was really plenty to choose from. No need to be surprised, as a country with 20 million tourists per year, the Greeks really are masters of this trade. The most attractive exhibitor probably was the one on the central plateau of the hall, the relatively young 1A Travel Agency, with mostly Turkish destinations on offer. There was a huge commotion around the mobile offices, one of the owners, Mehmet Günsül, was tirelessly and patiently presenting to all those interested the agencies new offers for this year, Malta and Cyprus. Nearby, although not on the most attractive of places, but still with a considerable amount of traffic, was the Titelprevoz Travel Agency. We weren’t surprised by their popularity, as they were the only ones representing offers for the Croatian coastline. Hostesses dressed as sailors greeted visitors. The surroundings were decorated with fishing nets, an anchor, a ship steering wheel, while the desks for customers had some nicely picked seashells and tiny rocks on display. Those who sat down were offered figs, Dalmatian spirits and other tasty specialities. Lemon and orange, decorated with bay, enrichened the offer.

All those who remember the once Yugoslav coastline’s offers know that the touristic pearl of the Adriatic sea was the island Makarska. This agency is well aware of this, and has the island as its prime destination, attracting with it tourists for 12 years now. Márta Bulátovity, the agencies owner, was more than happy to spare a bit of her time for us:

– On this year’s fair we are the only representatives of the Croatian touristic opportunities, the agencies from Zagreb could not make it here, so everything can be found on our stand which concerns the Croatian coastline. I can say that interest is quite high. People are much more excited about the Dalmatian coastline this year than on previous occasions.

–We are in the business for 12 years, our main offer is Makarska, and I can tell you from personal experience, that there were no delicate situations nor problems for the tourists going there all these years, they all had a wonderful time and came back with fond and unforgettable memories. Each year, the interest in our agency grows more and more. This is maybe because we don’t make false promises, we deliver what we agree upon. Our offer is a nice, calm, memorable summer vacation, and this is exactly what our customers get. Makarska is very well situated, only 56km from Split and 120km from Dubrovnik.

 

Maybe your secret is that you offer a calm and secure vacation and deliver it as well.

– Yes, partly that’s true. We organize the trip, transport our tourists with busses, picking them up from a number of places in Vojvodina (Subotica, Senta, Kanjiža, Ada, Bečej, Sombor, Kula and Novi Sad) and take them right in front of their summer apartments. But, if someone wishes to go with a private car, he or she can do it without any stress. The road is excellent and we provide a secure parking place on spot for all our customers. Though, I am absolutely positive that the beauty of the place is much more attractive than safety on the roads, being that a magical pine tree forest surrounds the entire coastline of Makarska. Those bathing on the beaches don’t even need a sunshade, they can just go under the tree’s shadows. The sea has a wonderful blue color and the water is crystal clear, while the city is buzzing with life and there is a lot to experience and see. Hiking is also an option, every mountain lover will be pleased with the nearby Biokovo mountain range. All in all, everyone can satisfy their needs there, and being there is not boring at all. We had an excellent season last year, with 100-150 tourist in each shift. When I look back to the years when we only had 10 persons per shift, this is a huge improvement.

Maybe Makarska would be the ideal place for one of the prizes for the winners on Magyar Szó’s Beach Beauty Contest, to go with their loved ones there.

– Yes. We would like to take this opportunity to officially announce that we offer you a 9 day half-board summer vacation in September to one of the winners on the Magyar Szó’s Beach Beauty Contest – added József Szolda, one of the employees of Titeltravel, who also drew our attention to the fact that from next year, a charter flight will be organized between Brač and Belgrade, the result of Dalmatia getting more and more popular in the summer. Titeltravel was assigned the representation of this charter flight, which will be flying once per week from Brač to the designated islands. From there, almost all of the popular vacation places are just a step away. But they have faith that Makarska will still prevail.
